Colorado University Athletics
Hi Buffs! If you received textbooks as part of your scholarship this semester, please return all textbooks to the Herbst Academic Center Conference Room (2nd floor of Dal Ward, room # 282) no later than Friday, May 7th at 11:30am. The Herbst Academic Center will be open from 8am-5pm this week so feel free to drop in anytime during business hours. Also, if you borrowed any equipment (laptop, calculator, etc.) from us this semester, make sure you return those items no later than May 7th as well. Finish strong, Buffs!
As we approach the end of the academic year, we would love to get your feedback on the support services you receive from the Herbst Academic Center. Please take a moment to complete this 3 question survey so we continue to improve our academic support services!
Check your final exam schedule on Buff Portal, Canvas or your course syllabus.
May 1st - 5th - final exam week.
Contact your academic coordinator if you need any additional support prior to finals, or if you would like to reserve a space to study or take an exam!
Subject to sport-specific limitations, student-athletes may compete in their sport as an individual, not representing CU. If you plan to do this over summer break, you must submit an Outside Participation Form on JumpForward before taking part in any noncollegiate, amateur competition or event so we can ensure that such participation will not harm your eligibility.
Welcome to our new Associate AD for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Dawon Baker!

Mental Lift Mondays: Training our resilience & owning our strengths
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and PHP will focus on how Mental Health is Performance, providing ways for you to engage with your mental health just like your physical health, which allows us to be our best self in our sport and our life. Check out this week's Mental Lift Monday in your email!
“When I first heard the term ‘mental health,’ the first thing that came to mind was mental toughness. Masking pain. Hiding it. Keeping it inside. That had been embedded in me since I was a kid. Never show weakness. Suck it up. Play through it. Live through it. Now, I realize that mental health means the total opposite.” – Brandon Marshall, former NFL wide receiver
[Mental] Training Thursdays:

What is SAAC?
SAAC is an active group of student leaders from each of CU's 17 intercollegiate athletic programs. The student-led group is dedicated to providing a voice for the interests and concerns of all student-athletes at CU. Involvement is open to any student-athlete willing to make the commitment to serve on behalf of their peers.
There are various sub-committees around Diversity and Inclusive Excellence, Student-Athlete Welfare, Career and Leadership Development, Event Planning, Environmental Responsibility and Community Outreach. SAAC members receive educational opportunities on legislation and provide their feedback on initiatives run by the Athletic Department, Pac-12 and NCAA. SAAC members often participate on campus and department committees and serve valuable roles that provide insight to administrators.
