Colorado improves to 83-35 (.703) in all-time season openers and has won its last five. The Buffaloes are 9-2 under head coach Tad Boyle and 36-5 in overall season openers since 1980-81.

Colorado improves to 97-31 (.758) in nonconference regular season games under head coach Tad Boyle including a 50-14 mark (.781) since the beginning of the 2014-15 season.

Colorado improves to 17-1 in November games since 2017-18, tied with Kansas for the second-best in NCAA Division I (Jayhawks open on Thursday).

McKinley Wright IV (20 points, 8-12 FG, 5 assists, 2 steals) recorded his 18th career 20-point game and 82nd in double-figures. Dished out at least five assists for the 58th time in his career. Wright is just 10 points from becoming the 13th player in team history to reach 1,400. He is 56 assists away from breaking Jay Humphries’ career record of 562.
Wright played in his 100th career game and made his 99th career start. He’ll be scheduled to make career start No. 100 on Friday, becoming the 11th Buff to reach that mark.

Dallas Walton (8 points, 7 rebounds) logged his best scoring and rebounding numbers since February 2018. His eight points matches his output at Washington on Feb. 17, 2018 and his seven rebounds are his most since matching that number vs. UCLA on Feb. 25, 2018.

Maddox Daniels (9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists) recorded his second career start. Tied his CU high in rebounds and assists and matched his second-best scoring output.

Buff Debuts: Seven players made their Buff debuts, including five true freshmen: Luke O’Brien, Tristan da Silva, Nique Clifford, Jabari Walker and Isaac Jessup. Keeshawn Barthelemy, a redshirt freshman, and Jeriah Horne, a graduate transfer also made their initial appearances
