Children's Hospital Colorado

Blankets

  • Children's Hospital Colorado is in need of fleece blankets. Children's Colorado provides blankets for patients during hospital stays to help provide comfort to patients during their visits. To keep up with patients' needs, we need around 200 blankets per week. I have attached instructions for no sew fleece blankets. Thought it might be a fun activity for families! Donations can be made via appointment with our Association of Volunteer Department at 720-777-6887.

Homemade Masks

  • Children's Hospital Colorado is now accepting homemade mask donations. You can find more information on how to make masks and mask guidelines on the CDC website. Donations can be mailed or dropped off with an appointment.

Donate Blood

  • Blood supplies in Colorado are critically low. We strongly urge healthy, eligible people to give blood or platelets so patients have the lifesaving blood they need to survive. Donating blood is safe and blood centers are not considered gatherings. To find a centernear you, click on the link below. Please call ahead of time to ensure the center is accepting donations.

Employment Resources

safeway

Safeway

  • Safeway has a strong need for temp workers. Please forward the link below to anyone you feel may be a match. Additionally, to help ensure the most at-risk members of the community who must leave how to obtain groceries are taken care of, Safeway is reserving 7am-9am on Tuesdays and Thursdays for them. Please be aware of that change and avoid shopping during those times so the store may be available for senior citizens.

Marriott Bonvoy

Rooms for Responders

  • Marriott Bonvoy launched Rooms for Responders in collaboration with its credit card partners, American Express and JPMorgan Chase, to provide up to $10 million worth of hotel stays at no cost rooms to frontline health care workers in some of the hardest hit cities in the United States. To help identify healthcare responders in need of overnight stays, Marriott Bonvoy is working with the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), a 50-year old organization that acts as a resource for the global emergency nursing community, and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), which was founded in 1968 and represents emergency physicians, emergency medicine residents and medical students. Both organizations represent thousands of emergency doctors and nurses in the United States and internationally. The goal of the program is simple – to offer these frontline heroes a place to stay whether they live locally or have traveled in to support overwhelmed hospitals.

Community Caregiver Program

  • Last week, Marriott launched the Community Caregiver Program for healthcare workers on the frontlines of the pandemic. This program, available in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America, provides special rates for first responders and healthcare professionals who want to book rooms at hotels in close proximity to the hospitals where they’re working. The rate is available on Marriott.com at nearly 2,500 hotels.
