Matt McQueen, Sc.D.
Associate Professor of Integrative Physiology at CU Boulder
Dr. McQueen is an
epidemiologist with advanced postdoctoral training in biostatistics engaged in an interdisciplinary research program. He has extensive experience working with high throughput data including large-scale genome-wide studies, gene-expression studies and studies of the microbiome. More recently, he serves as the Director of the Pac-12 Concussion Coordinating Unit (PCCU) – a multi-center study across the Pac-12 conference. Additionally, he has served and continues to serve as a PI, Co-I and lead data analyst for a number of externally-funded projects involving the study of health behaviors, substance use behaviors and cardiometabolic disease. In addition to research activities, he also developed a new Public Health Program on the CU Boulder campus. The program is designed to offer courses in public health to undergraduates and Dr. McQueen teaches Introduction to Epidemiology – a core course of that program. He also teaches graduate level biostatistics and research methods for the Department of Integrative Physiology.
