Senior Associate Athletic Director, CU Athletics, and Pac-12 Institutional Board Representative
Miguel’s emphasis is on student athlete health and performance. Within this role he has developed composite metrics that aid in the characterization of physical and psychological health and well-being, and has many research collaborations with faculty. Miguel is also the liaison with the CU Sports Medicine and Performance Center, housed in the athletic department’s Champions Center. He also oversees the strength and conditioning and sports nutrition areas as well as CU’s sports psychologist and works closely with campus on research initiatives. With CU’s move to the Pac-12 Conference, he was named the Education Director for the Pac-12 annual sports medicine meeting.
