CUnited: Racial Justice and Social Change Task Force
Mission Statement
Our mission is to use our collective voices of student-athletes and (AD) staff to take action for racial and social change by acting as catalysts for anti-racist education, reinforcing accountability and delivering a commitment towards building an anti-racist Buff community that ensures empowerment, equity and inclusion for all.
Vision Statement
Our commitment is to amplify and address the voices and emotions that have been suppressed in our community. This is key to the healing, transformation and restructuring of our department and campus into a more conscious and connected environment. Change starts within our athletic department and expands to our entire Buff community.
Program Objectives
- Mandate annual anti-racist education, training, and dialogue spaces for all student-athletes, staff, and coaches
- Provide voting initiatives, education, and dedicate an activity-free day on election day
- Bridge the chasm between the CU student-athletes and athletic department staff through a Training Day with the Buff and Boulder Police Department and CUPD

CUnited Mentorship Program
Purpose & Mission
The CUnited Mentorship Program is focused on building strong relationships between student-athletes and staff, creating a welcoming environment, and developing a stronger sense of community within our athletic department. This program serves as a formal space for first-year student-athletes of Color (Black, Hispanic, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander and Indigenous) with an upperclassman and staff of Color. As first-year student-athletes transition to CU, this program will serve as a space for them to connect with others who can serve as a resource by providing social support. If you are interested in this program, contact the DEI department at DEIAthletics@colorado.edu.
