WRIGHT TIES ASSIST MARK: McKinley Wright IV dished out four assists to tie Jay Humphries’ Colorado career mark set from 1980-84. Wright owns three of the top eight single-season totals in team history, including the freshman record of 175 set in 2017-18 (second best overall in team history).

Colorado snaps and eight-game losing streak in Salt Lake City and improves its overall series record to 30-24 over Utah.

Colorado picks up its third true road game on the season and is 6-3 away from Boulder. The Buffaloes are 19-15 away from Boulder since Feb. 2019; 9-13 on the road and 9-2 at neutral sites.

Colorado improves to 42-18 in its last 60 games dating back to February 2019.

Colorado’s 49 rebounds were a season high and its 15 offensive rebounds were one off the season high; the Buffs had 16 in the season opener vs. South Dakota. CU enjoyed a 13-2 advantage in second chance points.

Colorado was a season-high plus-18 on the boards (49-31). After a four game stretch that saw CU at minus-13 on the boards, the Buffs are plus-29 the last two games.

The nation’s top free throw shooting team was under 80 percent for just the third time in 12 games, still hitting 75 percent (18-24). The Buffs were 13-16 in the second half (.813) after making just 5-8 in the first. Colorado’s season total dipped to 84.5 percent (185-219).

After making just 5 of 23 shots from 2-point range in the first half (.217), the Buffaloes were 11 of 18 inside the arc in the second half (.611)

D’Shawn Schwartz (15 points, 15 rebounds, 6-15 FG) recorded his second career double-double, logging a career-high in rebounds and season high in points. He’s averaging 11.3 points and 8.5 rebounds over the last four games.

Jabari Walker (15 points, 10 rebounds, 5-8 FG) first career double-double with a personal best in rebounds and matching his career high in points. He had only four points and five rebounds in the previous two games combined.

Colorado had just two double-doubles in its first 10 games and now has four in the last two.

Evan Battey (8 points, 6 rebounds, 6-7 FT) has now made 36 of his last 40 from the free throw line.
