California trims Colorado’s all-time series lead to 19-17 and improves its all-time record against the Buffs in Berkeley to 14-2.

Colorado’s nation-leading free throw percentage dipped to 82.4 after hitting 15 of 21 (.714), equaling the season low performance vs. Oregon State on Feb. 8. The Buffaloes were lower than 71.4 percent in 16 of 32 games last season.Â

McKinley Wright IV (13 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds) with his two boards became the first player in Pac-12 Conference history to reach 1,600 points, 600 rebounds and 600 assists and is just the 10th NCAA Division I player to reach those numbers since 1985 (see chart below). He’s 13 points to whittling that list down to seven for 1,700-600-600. Wright moved into ninth in career scoring (1,687) passing Emmett Lewis who had 1,680 from 1975-79. Wright started his 120th career game tying Josh Scott (2012-16) for fourth on CU’s all-time list. He played in his 121st game tying Dominique Collier (2014-18) for 14th.
