Colorado-Washington Notes
Colorado is now 14-21 all-time against Washington and 10-5 all-time against the Huskies in Boulder. The Huskies have won nine of the last 12 in the series overall.

Washington ended CU’s six-game win streak at home (8-2).

Colorado has a three-game losing streak for the first time this season and first since Jan. 27-Feb. 3, 2022 (at Washington, at Washington State, vs. Oregon).

Washington shot 54.0 percent for the game, the most by a Buffaloes opponent at the CU Events Center since California shot 55.6 percent (25-45) in a 71-65 CU win on Feb. 6, 2020. The Huskies shot 63.6 percent in the second half, the most by a Buffs opponent in a half at the CU Events Center since Arizona shot 68 percent (17-25) on Feb 6, 2021.

Colorado forced 22 turnovers, the most by an opponent since UC Irvine had 22 on Nov. 18, 2019. It’s the most turnovers forced in a loss since Dec. 9, 2006, when Colorado State had 24, but defeated the Buffaloes 72-69 at the CU Events Center. Prior to tonight’s game, the Buffs had won eight-straight when forcing 22 or more turnovers.

Washington’s 22 turnovers was its second most of the season. The Huskies won the other game they had 20-plus turnovers as well, 23 vs. St. Mary’s on Nov. 24, 2022, a 68-64 win in overtime.

Colorado’s 13 steals tied a season high. The Buffaloes now have five games of double-figure steals this season (2-3 in those contests). Colorado had only one game with double-figure steals in each of the previous two seasons.

His eight free throws made without a miss is a personal and team season-best. Hammond has made 16 straight free throws since the Stanford game and improved to a perfect 16-16 from the line during Pac-12 play (which coincides with the current streak). His fourth game scoring in double-figures this season, all coming in the last nine games. Rebounded from not scoring a point during last week’s Los Angeles swing. Led the team in scoring for the first time in his career.

Tristan da Silva (17 points, 8-21 FG, 7 rebounds) career-high in field goals attempted; previous best was 18 vs. North Alabama on Dec. 15.
