Colorado-USC Notes
Colorado falls to 11-3 at home this year, snapping a three-game home winning streak. The Buffaloes are 7-11 in the Pac-12, and will finish sub-.500 in league play for the first time since the 2017-18 team was 8-10. The 11 league losses tie for the most in the Tad Boyle era (7-11 in 2014-15).

USC narrows Colorado’s lead in the series to 16-10 and has won the last three. Colorado’s all-time lead over USC in Boulder drops to 8-4.

USC shot 56.9 percent, the most by a CU opponent at the CU Events Center this season and the second most overall (.580 at Cal). It’s the highest percentage CU has allowed at home since Utah shot 57.8 percent (26-45) on Feb. 7, 2015.

The 84 points allowed to USC is the most overall this season and most at home since Montana State scored 90 in an overtime game on Nov. 9, 2021. It’s the most in regulation since Utah had 86 on Feb. 23, 2017.

Colorado tied a season-low six turnovers. The Buffaloes had 22 against the Trojans in the first game in Los Angeles on Jan. 12. Colorado dropped its other game with just six turnovers falling at Utah. The Buffaloes record in the Boyle era with six or fewer turnovers is just 10-8.

Quincy Allen (7 points, 4 blocks) played his first significant minutes of the year, setting career-highs in most every category. Played nearly 16 minutes after having played just nine minutes in five previous appearances (all in the final minute of blow out wins). He ade his first career free throw and 3-pointer. His four blocks are a team season-high.

KJ Simpson (18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals) registered his team-best 25th game scoring in double-figures this season. Led the Buffs in scoring for the 13th time this season. Averaging 5.8 rebounds over the last five games. The four steals are his most against a Pac-12 team this season and second-most overall (6 vs. Texas A&M).

Lawson Lovering (9 points, 4-6 FG, 7 rebounds) led the Buffaloes in rebounding for the fourth time this season. His nine points are his best at home this season.

Luke O’Brien (12 points, 5 rebounds) tied his season-high in points (12 at Stanford).
