Colorado-California Notes

Colorado snaps a two-game skid and improves to 10-2 overall at home this season, marking the 14th straight season the Buffaloes have at least 10 wins at home.

Colorado improves its lead in the series against California to 22-18 overall and 14-2 in Boulder.

Colorado tied a season-high with 13 steals, hitting that mark for the third time this year. It’s the sixth time this season the Buffaloes have had 10 or more steals in a game. Colorado had only one game of double-digit steals in each of the previous two seasons.

California’s 22 turnovers tied a CU opponent season-high. It was Colorado’s third game of forcing 20-plus turnovers this season, but first in a win (vs. Washington, at Cal).

The Buffaloes trailed 27-24 at the half, hitting only 25 percent from the field (6 of 24). The 25 percent was CU’s lowest first half total since shooting 23.1 percent (6 of 26) against Wyoming on Nov. 24, 2019 in Las Vegas. The six field goals in the first half are CU’s fewest since having six vs. USC on Jan. 20, 2022. Colorado improved to 3-8 this year when leading at the half.

Colorado held Cal to 46 points, tying for the fourth-fewest by the Buffaloes against a conference opponent in the Pac-12 era. The Buffs have held five opponents to 46 or fewer in the Pac-12 era, three have come this season:
