Colorado improved its record in overtime games to 1-1 this year and 55-57 in its history. The Buffaloes have won their last eight multi-overtime games, dating back to 1991. It was CU’s first double-overtime game since a 112-103 win over South Dakota State on Dec. 15, 2017. Colorado’s only other overtime game against USC was a 98-84 triple-overtime win on Jan. 29, 2015, at the Galen Center.
 
Colorado’s 16-point deficit was the biggest overcome on record (since 1947) with under 10 minutes remaining and tied for the third-biggest in a second half. Overall it’s tied for the 11th-biggest comeback, including the win in Boulder over USC on Jan. 13 (led by 16 in the first half).
 
Colorado hit the 90-point mark for the ninth time this season the most in one season in school history (9-0). The Buffaloes have won 35-straight when scoring at least 90 points a streak that dates back to 2014-15.
 
Colorado shot 31-of-59 from the field (.525) hitting the 50 percent mark for the 14th time, the most in one season since the 2009-10 team had 15 in 31 games. Colorado is 12-2 this season, and 106-9 in the Tad Boyle era (since 2010-11) when shooting at least 50 percent.
 
Colorado’s nine 3-pointers are its most against a Pac-12 game this season and ties for the third most overall.
 
Colorado had a season-high 21 turnovers.
 
USC started the game hitting 7-of-10 from 3-point range but made just 2-of-11 after.
 
KJ Simpson (30 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 6-9 3FG) logged his fifth career 30-point game. Career-highs in 3-pointers made and attempted. His six 6-point field goals are the most by a Buff since Evan Battey had six at Utah on March 5, 2022.
