Colorado improved its series lead over Utah to 34-27 and has a 23-7 advantage in Boulder. The 24-point margin of victory was Colorado’s largest over Utah since a 39-point win on Jan. 12, 2020.
 
Colorado had only four turnovers, matching the fewest in a conference game in team history. The Buffs also had four at Iowa State on Jan. 30, 2010.
 
Colorado had 10 3-pointers made, its most in the Pac-12 this season and tied for the second most overall (10 vs. Grambling, 13 vs. Milwaukee). The Buffaloes hit 47.6 percent from beyond the arc (10-21) their best in Pac-12 play this year and best since hitting 50 percent (9-18) against Utah Tech on Dec. 21.
 
Colorado was 32 of 59 from the field (.542) hitting the 50 percent mark for the 15th time, the most in one season since the 2009-10 team had 15 in 31 games. Colorado is 13-2 this season and 107-9 in the Tad Boyle era when hitting 50 percent or better. The Buffaloes have shot at least 50 percent the last three games, hitting 53.0 percent in that span (87-164).
 
Utah matched a season-low in 3-pointers made with four (at Washington State, at USC). The Utes entered the game averaging 8.7 made per game, ranking third in the Pac-12. The Utes were 4 of 23 from 3-point range, their lowest percentage of the season (.174)
 
KJ Simpson (28 points, 10-15 FG, 5-8 3FG) recorded his 16th 20-point game of the season, the most by a Buffalo since Alec Burks had 24 20-point games in 2010-11. He is 20th on Colorado’s single-season scoring list with 528 points, one game after becoming the 30th to score 500 in one season. He also became the 26th Colorado player to pass 1,200 career points (1,224). He matched his own team season-high in field goals made. Simpson had three assists, moving into a tie with Billy Law (1990-92) for 12th on CU’s all-time list with 321. Following a 3-for-14 stretch from deep, he has made 11 of 17 (.647) from 3-point range the last two games.
 
J’Vonne Hadley (20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 7-10 FG) logged his second-career 20-point game. Shooting 12 of 18 (.667) from the field the last two games. With nine rebounds, led the Buffaloes in rebounding for the seventh time this season.
 
It’s the fifth time this season the Buffaloes have had two players score at least 20 points in a game.
 
Eddie Lampkin Jr. (13 points, 4-5 FG, 7 rebounds) has now shot 50 percent or better in 20 of 27 games this year. Had his most points since scoring 14 at Washington. His five free throws made were his most since hitting eight at California.
 
Luke O’Brien (8 points, 4 rebounds, 3-4 FG, 2-3 3FG) has made 8 of 13 (.615) in the four games since returning from an injury.
