Colorado-California Notes

Colorado improves to 15-1 at the CU Events Center this season, the most wins since the 2018-19 team was 15-2. The Buffaloes will have a chance to match the most regular season home wins in a single-season Sunday vs. Stanford and would join the 2015-16 (16-1) and 2013-14 teams (16-2) teams at that mark (the 2010-11 team won a school-record 18 home games, which included three postseason NIT victories).

Colorado shot exactly 50 percent from the field (29-of-58), marking the 16th time the Buffaloes have shot 50 percent or better from the field this season, the best since the 1990-91 team had 16 over 33 games. Colorado is 14-2 this season, and 108-9 in the Tad Boyle era when shooting at least 50 percent.

The Buffaloes have shot at least 50 percent the last four games, hitting 52.3 percent in that span (116-222).

Tristan da Silva (22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists) became the 20th player in team history with 1,300 points, now in 20th with 1,305. Had a 3-pointer to movie into a tie with Levi Knutson (2007-11) and Donnie Boyce (1991-95) for 12th in career 3-pointers at 129. Sixth 20-point game of the season and has 18 in his career.

It’s the sixth time this season the Buffaloes have had two players score at least 20 points in a game and second in a row.

Javon Ruffin (6 points, 2-3 3FG) first multiple 3-point game of the season; was just 2 of 14 in 10 previous games.

With Cody Williams and Julian Hammond missing the game with injuries it marked the 14th time in 28 games (half the season) where the Buffaloes did not have their top seven rotational players available at the same time.
