Colorado-Arizona State Notes

Colorado is 13-0 at home for the first time in program history, eclipsing the previous best of 12-straight to begin a season last achieved by the 1968-69 Big Eight Championship team which won all 12 of its games in that title season. Overall, the 13-game home winning streak is the program’s best since a 14-game span over two seasons from Feb. 17, 2010 to Jan. 15, 2011.
 
Colorado has won seven-straight home games over Pac-12 teams dating back to last season, its most since a similar seven-game over two seasons from Feb. 2, 2019 through Jan. 2, 2020.
 
Colorado increased its series lead over Arizona State to 16-12 overall and 10-3 in Boulder.
 
Colorado led 44-35 at the half, improving to 15-2 when leading at halftime this season. Both teams made 13 field goals in the first half, however the Buffaloes were more efficient from the field shooting 52 percent (13-25) compared to 40 percent for ASU (13-32).
 
Colorado attempted a season-high 29 free throws and matched its season-best in free throws made with 26 (26 of 28 at Washington on Jan. 24).
 
KJ Simpson (17 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds) tied a career-high in assists, hitting that number for the third time this season. He moved into 14th in career assists now with 299, passing Michel Morandais who had 294 from 2000-04. Had six rebounds and is averaging 7.6 over the last five games. He has at least five rebounds in 11 of 12 conference games. Hit 5 of 6 from the line, recording a miss for just the 13th time in 119 season attempts (106-119, .891).
 
J’Vonne Hadley (19 points, 11 rebounds, 5-8 FG, 2-2 3FG, 7-7 FT) first career NCAA Division I double-double, setting a career-high in rebounds. It was his third-career double-figure rebounding game; his previous high was 10 achieved twice last season (vs. Tennessee, at UCLA). Matched his career-high in free throws made, achieved for the third time, and it was his most free throws made without a miss. He is now 35 of 39 from the line in Pac-12 play (.897).
 
Eddie Lampkin recorded a CU career-high three steals
 
Javon Ruffin had season-highs in free throws made and attempted (3-3); he’s made all seven of his attempts on the season, moving his career mark to 89.7 percent (35-39).
