2020: Had a breakout season as a sophomore … was CU’s No. 4 scorer at the FSU Winter Classic, finishing 18th in 20:42.3 … at the Battle Born Collegiate Challenge she was 23rd, this time as CU’s No. 3 … earned a top-20 finish at the Pac-12 Championship, placing 18th … was 72nd (CU’s No. 2) at the NCAA Championship.
2019: Served as the alternate at NCAAs for CU after finishing 43rd at regionals as CU’s No. 6 harrier ... placed 64th at the Pac-12 Championships ... ran in the open race at pre-nationals and finished 13th ... led CU at the RoadRunner Invitational with a fifth-place finish ... was 16th at the Wyoming Invitational.
2018: Redshirted the season, but raced once attached ... finished 30th overall at the Wyoming Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned letters as a member of the Battle Mountain High School cross country, skiing and track and field teams … won the Colorado 4A State Cross Country Championship as a senior with the third fastest course time (18:03.9) after placing second at the meet in 2016 … after winning the state title in 2017, she went on to place 10th at the NXR Southwest Regional Championships and was 58th at the NXN Nike Cross Nationals … the Huskies won back-to-back state cross country titles (2016 and ’17) and were the 2015 runner-ups and won the Western Slope League and regional championships (2014-17) … on the track, her high school team won the WSL title three times (2015, ’17 and ’18) … she excelled in the classroom as an AP Scholar with distinction two consecutive years … her GPA was in the top 10% of her high school class all four years … she earned academic all-state first team honors in cross country, skiing and track and field her junior and senior years.

PERSONAL: Elizabeth Kathleen Constien ... born June 8, 2000 in Vail, Colo. ... daughter of Ron and Ann Constien ... older sister, Val, was an All-American for Colorado cross country and track & field team and made the 2020 Olympic team in the steeplechase after placing third at the U.S. Olympic Trials ... started studying Spanish in second grade and is now bilingual ... has been reading and performing music since she could remember, whether it be piano, singing or playing in the middle and high school band ... enjoys writing stories, watching movies, hunting, snowmobiling, dirt-biking, skiing and paddle boarding.
