COLLEGE -- 2004: Did not compete during the cross country season, but ran the 3,000-m (12:17.98) during the outdoor track season. HIGH SCHOOL: Was an all-state performer in cross country for the Marquette Mustangs her freshman through senior seasons, and all-state on the track in the 800-m and mile twice. Her cross country teams were teh Suburban West Champions from 1999-01 and her 4x800-m relay team were Missouri State Champions in 2003. IN THE CLASSROOM: Hoogheem is as biology-EPOB major. She was a member of the Dean’s list during the fall of ?03. PERSONAL: Kristen Elizabeth Hoogheem was born on July 11, 1983 in St. Louis, Mo. Her parents are Thomas and Rebecca Hoogheem of Chesterfield, Mo. She has a 23-year-old sister, Katherine, and an 18-year-old sister, Sarah (a freshman at teh University of Illinois). Her hobbies include hiking and snowboarding. She was been involved in the Big Brother Big Sister program and has done some school-based mentoring.
