AT COLORADO: This Season (Fr.)—Projected as a defensive back in his true freshman year in college, though could also be tried at wide receiver.  He joined the team as a recruited walk-on for August drills.
HIGH SCHOOL—As a senior, he earned first-team All-West Catholic Athletic League honors at wide receiver, when he had 47 receptions for 840 yards and 10 touchdowns (averaging 17.9 yards per catch).  He set league and school records for the most catches in a game, when he caught 14 balls for 165 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-14 win over Archbishop Riordan.  He also had five receptions for 145 yards (29.0 per) and two scores in a 21-20 loss to Oak Grove, and in a 24-0 win over Serra (two catches, 93 yards), he set the school record for the longest reception in St. Francis history when one of the those catches went for 81 yards and a score.  On defense (safety), he was in on 31 tackles (23 solo), with five for losses including two quarterback sacks; he also had four passes broken up and two quarterback hurries.   He saw spot action as a junior, making seven catches for 86 yards, 12.3 per.  Under coach Nick Navarro, St. Francis got hot at the right time, winning its last four games him senior to finish 8-5 and as champions of Central Coast Section Division II.  SFHS was 6-6 his junior season.  He also lettered once in track (sprints: 100, 200 and relays) and also played both lacrosse and basketball.
 
ACADEMICS—He is majoring in Economics at Colorado.
PERSONAL—He was born February 6, 1995 in Saratoga, Calif.  His hobbies include participating in a variety of outdoor activities including wakeboarding, snowboarding, dirt biking, hunting and fishing.  He earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do by the time he was 10.  His father, Wayne, was a defensive tackle at San Jose State from 1983-86.
