AT TENNESSEE (2024-25)

Played in 21 games with five starts over two seasons.

2025 (Second-Year): Played in nine games and had 25 tackles (16 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack, three pass breakups, three forced fumbles and two quarterback hurries, and returned 11 punts for 145 yards with a long of 40. His three forced fumbles tied for third in FBS and led the SEC through Week 9. Entered the season as a third-team preseason All-SEC selection by the coaches and media and fourth-team by Athlon.

2024 (First-Year): Played in all 13 games as a true freshman and started the final five regular-season games at the STAR position, making his first career start against Kentucky with four tackles. Led the SEC in punt-return average at 16.5 yards (12 for 198) and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team as a return specialist, the first Tennessee freshman so honored since Shawn Summers in 1992; was SEC Freshman of the Week after the Florida game (Oct. 12), a preseason On3 True Freshman All-American and on the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll. Finished sixth on the team with 38 tackles (28 solo), three tackles for loss, a sack, an interception and three hurries, and had three tackles in the College Football Playoff first-round game at Ohio State.

The 247Sports Composite ranked him No. 129 nationally, the No. 4 athlete and No. 3 in Tennessee.

AT BRADLEY CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL

Played his senior season at Bradley Central in Cleveland, Tenn., for head coach Damon Floyd, winning the Tennessee Titans Class 6A Mr. Football award and Region 2-6A Player of the Year honors and playing in the 2024 All-American Bowl in San Antonio (Jan. 6, 2024). Starred at multiple positions for a team that went 13-1 with an undefeated regular season and a trip to the state semifinals, totaling 1,795 all-purpose yards and 27 touchdowns: 55 receptions for 911 yards and 12 touchdowns, 102 tackles and two interceptions at defensive back, and two return touchdowns. As a junior at Chattanooga Christian in 2022, had 678 rushing yards, 780 receiving yards and 28 touchdowns and was TSWA Division II-AA all-state as the Chargers went 10-3 and reached the state semifinals.

Orlando “Boo” Carter is the son of Shareca Carter and Terrence Holland; has a brother, BJ Holland, and a sister, Amoree Holland. Favorite movie is “Friday,” favorite sport other than football is baseball, and he models his game after Tyrann Mathieu.
