A three-time All-Jefferson County honoree, he was second team as a junior and senior after earning honorable mention honors as a sophomore … After his freshman season, coaches were preparing him to play guard as a sophomore until a last minute switch to center, where he had less than 48 hours to prepare … He played every snap at center his sophomore and junior seasons and then played all five positions along the line as a senior when he was a team captain … Also participated in swimming, lettering three times, and track & field at Lakewood, specifically the shotput and discus.

He was born March 8, 2003 in Wheatridge, Colo. … Parents are Brad and Nancy Dempsey … Has a younger sister, Margaux … His hobbies including swimming, skiing, scuba diving, traveling and lifting … He is interested in the mandarin Chinese language and culture, international business, chemistry and cooking … His grandfather, Ed Fogle, has been a CU season ticket holder since 1967 and was president of the Denver Buff Club … His family has more than 11 degrees from CU and he's been going to CU football games as long as he can remember … An Eagle Scout, in March 2018 he led an international group service project of 34 volunteers (16 from the United States, 18 from China) to plant 100 trees in Inner Mongolia, China, with the Nature Conservancy … That project took 18 months to plan and he raised over $23,000 for the project and he personally contributed over 1,000 hours to the project and in all 2,196 service hours and was considered an ecological success and cultural foreign exchange between the USA and China … Also active in DECA, which prepares emerging leaders in several areas in high school and college, he was a Colorado DECA District 13 State Representative and two-time DECA International Career Development Conference qualifier and Lakewood High School's chapter president … A member of the Robbie's Hope Foundation Board, focusing on teen suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
