AT COLORADO: 2020 (Fr.)—Started all six games in his true freshman season including the Alamo Bowl, quickly earning a reputation as an elite cornerback … Played in 305 snaps in the regular season with 19 tackles, one tackle for loss and another for no gain, two third down stops, one quarterback hurry, one pass breakup and made two touchdown saving tackles … Was just the 14th true freshman to start a season opener dating back to 1973 … The 19th known freshman to crack 300 defensive plays, doing so in just five regular season games … Played in 372 defensive snaps counting the Alamo Bowl, fourth most on the team and most by a freshman … Saw action on another 38 snaps on special teams in the field goal block and punt return units when the Buffs were in defensive formations … Earned the team's Lee Willard Award as the top freshman on defense … Finalist for the CUSPY for Male Freshman of the Year across all CU sports … Picked on early in the season, he had five tackles and a tackle for loss against UCLA and six tackles against Stanford to open the season … He had two tackles, one for no gain, against San Diego State, and a tackle, pass breakup, quarterback hurry and two third down stops at Arizona when the Buffs gave up just 23 combined points in those two games … Credited with five tackles and three pass breakups in the Alamo Bowl against Texas.
