HIGH SCHOOL—Rated as a 3-star recruit by the major recruiting services … Named to the LA Times’ 2016 second-team defense on its Dream Team list … Was selected to the preseason All-County team prior to his senior season … Under coach Dan O’Shae, the Kings went 10-2 his senior year, reached the CIF Southern Section Division 4 Quarterfinals and finished the year ranked No. 9 by the Orange County Register in its final top 25 poll for Orange County … As a junior, the Kings went 12-2 before falling 36-35 in two overtimes to Sierra Canyon in the CIF Southern Section Division 4 Championship, and was 9-3 his sophomore year falling in the quarterfinals … Missed all but three games of his senior season with an injury, but in his three games he racked up 23 tackles, two for losses, one sack and two pass breakups … As a junior, he had 67 tackles, including 11 for losses, 3½ sacks, four quarterback hurries, three pass breakups and one forced fumble in nine games … Spent his first two years of high school at Mater Dei.

PERSONAL—He was born in Newport Beach, Calif. on Oct. 13, 1999 … Hobbies include spending time with his family and hanging out with friends … His brother, Grant, was ILB at USC who walked on to the Trojans team and played for them from 2014-17… His father, Rex, was a four-year (1984-87) letterman linebacker at USC, leading the Trojans in tackles while earning team Most Inspirational Player accolade in 1986 … An uncle, Rob Moore, played at Stanford from 1980-83.
