Andre’ Hart joined the Colorado staff in December 2022 as linebackers coach and transitioned to assistant linebackers coach prior to the 2026 season.

Hart arrived in Boulder alongside head coach Deion Sanders after coaching linebackers at Jackson State from 2020–22. During his tenure with the Tigers, Jackson State developed into one of the top defenses in the FCS, ranking first nationally in multiple major defensive categories in 2022, including total defense, scoring defense, passing defense, pass efficiency defense, sacks and third-down defense.

Under Hart’s direction, linebacker Aubrey Miller Jr. was named SWAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2022 after earning first-team All-SWAC honors in both 2021 and 2022. Miller led the conference in tackles in 2021 with 109 stops and followed with another 100-plus tackle season in 2022 while adding impact plays in sacks, tackles for loss and forced fumbles.

The Tigers’ defensive turnaround during Hart’s tenure was significant. After ranking near the bottom nationally in total, scoring and rushing defense in 2019, Jackson State climbed into the top tier of the FCS by 2021, ranking second in total defense, fourth in scoring defense and among the top 10 nationally in rushing defense.

Prior to Jackson State, Hart served four seasons at Trinity Christian (Texas), including two as head coach (2019–20) after serving as defensive coordinator (2017–18). During his four-year tenure, Trinity Christian compiled a 47-5 record, including three consecutive TAPPS state championships and a TCAL National Championship.

In his role at Colorado, Hart assists with linebacker development and defensive preparation, bringing continuity to a unit he helped build during the program’s transition under Coach Prime.

Hart played collegiately at Ranger Junior College before transferring to Kansas State University.
