              Nate Dodson joined the CU staff as a graduate assistant for the offense on January 17, 2022. He works particularly with the quarterbacks.

              Dodson, 28, came to Colorado from the University of Minnesota, where he was an offensive graduate assistant for the Gophers, working with the quarterbacks and wide receivers. He coached under offensive coordinator Mike Sanford, who was named to the similar position at Colorado in December 2021; at UM, he was responsible for opponent film breakdown, film project development and all advanced opponent personnel scouting in addition to numerous responsibilities during games.

              Prior to his time at Minnesota, he spent two seasons as an operations intern with the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams. With the Rams, he communicated with coaches on a daily basis to assist in the setup of drills and other on-field logistics.

              Dodson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Marketing in 2017 from Menlo College in Atherton, Calif.  He lettered three times at quarterback for the Oaks football team, and also earned three letters as an outfielder and the captain of the baseball team. He owns the distinction of being the only athlete in Menlo school history to both hit a home run and throw a touchdown pass.

              He was born May 31, 1994 in Los Angeles Calif., and graduated from Palisades Charter (Calif.) High School, where he lettered in football and junior varsity baseball.  His hobbies include working out and exploring the outdoors.Â
