2021 (Fr.-3)—Played in two games for the Buffaloes, including a start against Minnesota at center, ironically the same opponent he saw his only action against as a redshirt freshman for Iowa in 2020 … Suited for nine games … Played 31 snaps in those two games.
 
AT IOWA (2019-20)—After not seeing the field and earning a redshirt season in 2019, he played in one game in 2020 against Minnesota … He was listed No. 2 on the depth chart at the start of spring practices in 2021 before entering the transfer portal. 
 
HIGH SCHOOL—A three-star prospect by the recruiting services, all of which ranked him as the No. 9 prospect out of Iowa for the 2019 recruiting class … 247Sports ranked him as the No. 67 offensive guard nationally and ESPN ranked him as the No. 71 offensive guard nationally and No. 131 player in the region … He was his district's offensive line MVP as a senior when he was a team captain at New Hampton under coach Scott Frerichs and earned first-team all-state by the Iowa Newspaper Association and the Des Moines Register … Named second-team all-state by the INA as a junior and was three-times named first-team all-district … Played both offensive and defensive line and helped New Hampton reach the state playoffs three straight seasons, including a run to the championship game as a junior … In his career, heh ad 108 tackles with 37 tackles for loss including 15 sacks … His senior season he racked up 36 tackles, including 13 for a loss with three sacks … Junior season he had 40 tackles, including 12 total tackles for loss including 6½ sacks … As a sophomore, he had 32 tackles with 12 going for a loss with 5½ sacks … Also lettered in wrestling, basketball and track & field at New Hampton, where he placed third in the state championships in the shot put as a junior and seventh in discus, where he also holds the school record with a throw of 184-4 … He won the shot put at the Drake Relays as a senior. 
 
ACADEMICS—He is majoring in Sociology at Colorado … Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors at Iowa in 2020.
