HIGH SCHOOL—A three-star prospect by the recruiting services … ESPN gave him a scout grade of 79 as the No. 31 defensive tackle in the class, No. 38 player from California and No. 64 player in the west region … PrepStar placed him on its All-West Region team … Rivals tabbed him as the No. 54 defensive tackle in the class and No. 64 player out of California … 247Sports ranked him the No. 62 defensive tackle nationally and No. 68 player from California … He played three years of varsity football for Narbonne High School and coach Manuel Douglas, playing both defensive tackle and offensive guard and racking up a 30-8 record … Narbonne won the CIF State Championship in 2018 but was forced to forfeit games by the LA City Section of the CIF, which also included a postseason ban his senior season in 2019 … He racked up 62 tackles in high school, including 20 for a loss and four sacks, three quarterback hurries and one forced fumble … As a senior, he had 26 tackles, including eight for a loss and two sacks on defense and was part of an offensive line on an offense that averaged over 400 yards of offense and 52 total touchdowns in nine games … As a junior, he had 17 tackles including seven for a loss and one sack to go along with three quarterback hurries … Offensively as a junior, Narbonne averaged over 200 yards passing and rushing and scored 74 touchdowns in 14 games … His sophomore season, he had 18 tackles, including five for a loss and one sack to go along with one forced fumble and one fumble recovery … Narbonne again averaged over 200 yards passing and rushing and scored 93 touchdowns in 15 games … Top games as a senior included having six tackles and two for a loss against Lone Peak, recording seven tackles against San Pedro and picking up sacks against Gardena and Serra … Top games as a junior included three tackles, a sack and a quarterback hurry against Palos Verdes, two tackles for loss and a quarterback hurry against Garfield and three tackles, two for a loss and a quarterback hurry against Central Catholic.
