2025 (Sr.)
  • Played and started in nine games during the 2025 season.
  • Finished the season completing 127-of-204 passes for 1,414 passing yards and 10 touchdowns with seven interceptions. 
  • Salter added 356 rushing yards good for second on the team on 103 attempts and five touchdowns both the most on the team.
  • In his first game back as the starting quarterback against Wyoming, Salter put up one of the best statlines for a quarterback in Colorado history. He became just the 4th quarterback with 300-yard passing and 80-yard rushing in the same game. It’s also just the second game in CU history with the combination of 300 passing yards, 80 rushing yards, 3 passing touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown, joining Steven Montez.
  • It was the 13th game in CU history where a player had passed for 3 or more touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown, and first since Shedeur Sanders at Texas Tech on Nov. 9, 2024 when he was 30-43-291-3-0, 9-16-1. 
  • It’s the most rushing yards by a quarterback since Steven Montez had 108 rushing yards at UCLA on Sept. 30, 2017. 
  • It’s his third career 300-yard passing game and first at CU.  It’s his first 300-yard passing game since throwing for 319 against New Mexico State on Dec. 1, 2023 while at Liberty.  
  • Across the country in week four he was seventh in passer rating, eighth in quarterback rushing yards, tied for eighth in passing yards, and one of only 18 quarterbacks to throw for more than 300 passing yards.

  • During his four seasons as a Flame, he totaled 5,887 passing yards and 56 touchdowns to go along with 2,063 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. 
2024
  • In his last season, he threw for 1,886 yards and 15 touchdowns. On the ground, he ran for 587 yards and seven touchdowns.
  • He was named an honorable mention All-CUSA player in 2024.
  • In the preseason he was named to the watch lists for the following awards: Maxwell, Walter Camp, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm, Earl Campbell Tyler Rose, Davey O’Brien, and Manning. 
  • Other preseason honors included: Hero Sports Group of Five Preseason All-American First-Team, Phil Steele CUSA Preseason All-Conference First-Team, CUSA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, CUSA Preseason Player of the Year Watch List.

  • In his first season as the full-time starter, he took the nation by storm finishing with 2,876 passing yards and 32 touchdowns. He also had 1,089 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.

AT CEDAR HILL HIGH SCHOOL
  • Played three seasons of varsity high school football for head coach Carlos Lynn at Cedar Hill High School.
  • In his prep career, he finished with 5,564 passing yards for 52 touchdowns. On the ground, he ended with 1,621 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns. 
  • As a senior Salter helped lead the Longhorns to a 12-2 record and an appearance in the Texas 6A State Championship.
  • In his final season, he completed 185 of 306 passes for 2,571 yards and 31 touchdowns through the air. He added 1,075 rushing yards on 174 carries and 14 rushing touchdowns.
  • He earned the 2020 Dallas Morning News Offensive Player of the Year and the 2020 Sports Illustrated Texas High School Football Quarterback of the Year.
