Played four years at South Paulding High School under coach Sumo Robinson.
Starting quarterback the last two years as SPHS, helping the team to a 16-7 overall record and 12-2 record in league play.
In his career, completed 305-of-505 passes (60.4%) for 4,432 yards and 38 touchdowns with 19 interceptions, while rushing 157 times for 743 yards and 15 scores.
Senior season, completed 131-of-250 passes (63.9%) for 1,756 yards with 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions as a senior, while rushing 42 times for 242 yards and three scores.
SPSH made the first round of the 6A playoffs and he helped the team to an 8-4 overall record and 6-1 mark in league play.
Was 12-of-14 for 304 yards and four touchdowns in a 61-6 win over New Manchester.
