AT COLORADO: 2020 (Soph.)—Played in all five regular season games before missing the Alamo Bowl … Essentially a starter in all five games, started two (UCLA, at Arizona) of five based on defensive formation of the first play from scrimmage … Finished the season with 253 defensive snaps, picking up 10 tackles with one pass breakup and one touchdown saving tackle … Played all five games on special teams, as well, primarily on the punt return unit but also seeing some action on kick coverage and then FG/PAT block and punt return when the Buffs were in their regular defensive formation … Had a critical field goal block against San Diego State … Had three tackles against UCLA to open the season, then added three tackles and a pass breakup at Stanford … Added three more tackles at Arizona and closed the season with one against Utah.
2019 (Fr.)—He was named to the honorable mention team for the NFF/Colorado Chapter All-Academic team … He dressed for all 12 games, playing in the final nine games of the season and started at Washington State at the nickel position … He played eight games on defense with a total of 196 snaps … He had 12 tackles, including four for a loss with 1.5 sacks, six third down stops, three quarterback pressures and three pass breakups … Earned the Special Teams Player of the Week leading into the Washington State game, a game he earned his first start on defense and responded with three tackles and one pass breakup … Against Washington, he had three tackles, all behind the line of scrimmage with 1.5 sacks … He was named to the Freshman All-America watch list by the Football Writers Association of America.
TRACK & FIELD: Participated with the track & field team for the first time in the spring of 2021 … Ran the 100-meters and 4x100-meters … Was the second leg for the 4x100-meters at the Air Force Twilight open (along with teammate Dimitri Stanley, who ran the first leg) in a time of 40.11, which was the best performance for CU this season and the sixth best season mark in CU history … Ran the 4x100-meters two other times, winning the CU Invitational in a time of 41.83 and coming in eighth at the Pac-12 Championships in 40.75 … Ran the 100-meters four times with a best of 10.65, the top mark of any CU runner in 2021 and winning the event at the CU Invitational … Other 100-meter times were 10.71 at the Air Force Twilight Open, winning the race, and 10.71 at the Pac-12 Championships taking 23rd and he was second at the Jerry Quiller Classic in 10.73.
HIGH SCHOOL—A 4-star prospect by 247Sports where he is the No. 48 safety and No. 78 player out of California … 3-star prospect by both ESPN and Rivals … ESPN ranked him as the No. 48 safety in the nation and No. 75 player out of California … A First-Team All-CIF, First-Team All-League and MVP of the Rancho Cucamonga team for coach Mark Verti, he helped the Cougars to a 7-5 record and 5-0 mark winning the Baseline League as a senior … He ran the ball 104 times for 905 yards for an astounding 8.7 yards per carry and 14 touchdowns, adding 13 catches for 120 yards and a touchdown as a running back … Added 57 tackles, including three for a loss, with four pass break-ups, one quarterback hurry and one forced fumble on defense … He earned All-League honors as a junior when he had 19 tackles, including one for a loss … Attended Etiwanta High School as a sophomore where he played wide receiver and had 12 catches for 214 yards and one touchdown … Top games include a four-game stretch where he averaged 120.5 yards per game that included 185 yards on 16 carries with three touchdowns on offense and season-high 12 tackles on defense in a 35-24 win over Los Osos and 105 yards on 14 carries with a touchdown in a 34-20 win over Upland … In a playoff game against Upland, he had 17 carries for 90 yard and two touchdowns in a 42-40 win and added seven tackles and a forced fumble on defense.
