HIGH SCHOOL—He played football for one season after starring in soccer at Monarch, which was 2-4 in his COVID shortened senior season, but he was still named first-team all-conference and was the Special Teams Player of the Year for the 4A Northern League … Played both kicker and punter at Monarch, hitting on two-of-two field goals with a long of 36, and hit on 13-of-15 PATs … Also had 28 kickoffs with 17 touchbacks and an average of 59.8 yards per kickoff (kickoffs from the opponent 40 yard line in high school) … As a punter, he had nine punts with an average of 40.4 yards and along of 61 yards with two inside the 20 … Also played soccer at Monarch for three seasons on varsity, was the team captain and earned all-conference honors as a senior, when he was the high school's Student-Athlete of the Year.
