- Preston Tyrone Ashley is the son of Tyrone and Jennifer Ashley. He has one brother, Paxton Ashley, and one sister, Tyanna Taylor.

- Two of his uncles had successful football careers. Rowell Preston played at Ole Miss and for the Green Bay Packers in the NFL. Rock Preston played for Florida State and won the 1993 NCAA National Championship.
