AT JACKSONVILLE STATE

Played one season at Jacksonville State under head coach Rich Rodriguez.
Hughes broke out in his one season totaling 83 tackles, nine-and-a-half tackles, four-and-a-half sacks, and six quarterback hurries.
Named First-Team All-Conference USA.

AT OLE MISS

Played two seasons at Ole Miss under head coach Lane Kiffin.
He tallied nine tackles and one fumble recovery in two years as a Rebel in 16 games.
In 2023, Hughes played in four games as a reserve linebacker picking up three tackles and one fumble recovery.
During his first FBS football season in 2022, he played in all 12 games rotating between defense and special teams.
He finished the season with six total tackles, four being solo tackles.

JUNIOR COLLEGE RANKINGS

Ranked as a three-star recruit out of Junior College by On3 and 247 Sports.
On3 ranked him as the No. 49 player nationally in Junior College, the No. 5 LB, and the No. 12 player in Mississippi.
247 Sports Juco ranked him as the No. 10 player nationally, the No. 1 linebacker, and the No. 4 player from Mississippi.

AT NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI CC

Played two seasons at Northwest Mississippi Community College under head coach Greg Davis.
Through two seasons one of which was shortened due to Covid-19 tallied 44 tackles, eight tackles for loss, five sacks, and two forced fumbles.
He appeared in six games in 2021, recording 22 tackles, two-and-a-half sacks, two forced fumbles, and one-and-a-half sacks.
His first season was shortened but still managed to finish with 22 tackles, five-and-a-half tackles for loss, and three-and-a-half sacks.

AT ROSA FORT

Played two seasons of varsity football for head coach Kwame Jackson at Rosa Fort High School.
He finished his career with 135 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, and 14.5 sacks.
His senior season ended with 84 tackles which was good for third-most on the team, 10.5 tackles for loss, and six-and-a-half sacks.
In 2018 he finished with 51 tackles and eight sacks.
