- Also threw five touchdowns in the first two games of the season, hitting on 15-of-21 for 325 yards and five scores in a 61-41 win over St. Francis, and then in a 49-0 win over Buena, he was 13-of-21 for 251 yards and five touchdowns.

- After his junior season he was named Foothill League Offensive Player of the Year; 1st Team All-CIF Southern Section; Los Angeles Daily News All-Area 1st Team; California Cal-Hi Sports All-State.
- He set his career highs for yards and touchdowns in a 62-38 win over Pacifica when he was 20-of-30 for 455 yards and six touchdowns and added two rushes for 75 yards and another score, giving him 530 yards of total offense and seven touchdowns.

- Ryan comes from a family of athletes. His brother Jared played wide receiver at the University of California Berkeley, his father Craig was an All-Pac 10 pole vaulter at the University of California Berkley, and his grandfather Jerry was a catcher on a national championship baseball team at USC.
