AT COLORADO: This Season (Fr.-RS)? Enters the fall listed at right guard, as injuries to several offensive linemen provided him the luxury of practicing with the second unit all spring.   

 

2005 (Fr.)?Redshirted; practiced the entire season as an offensive lineman, mainly at guard and center.  He was one of five linemen to earn the Scout Team Offense Award for the week leading up to the Oklahoma State game.  He joined the team as an invited walk-on for August drills.

 

HIGH SCHOOL?As a senior, he earned first-team all-District 14-5A and all-Montgomery County distinctions in recording 20 pancake blocks and 35 knockdown blocks as a starting offensive guard.  He did not allow a sack as either a senior or junior, when he had 10 knockdowns to go with seven pancakes while being called for just one penalty.  The Woodlands went 9-4 his senior year under coach Mark Schmid and 14-1 his junior season for coach Weldon Willig, finishing as a the district runner-up.  His favorite career moment was playing in front of 40,000 fans against North Shore in the championship game.  He also played rugby in high school, where he captained his team during his junior and senior seasons.

 

ACADEMICS?He is majoring in business (marketing) at Colorado.

 

PERSONAL?He was born February 2, 1987 in Moraga, Calif.  He enjoys sports, friends and traveling. An uncle, Gary Granmann, was a quarterback at California.
