AT JONES HIGH SCHOOL

Played three seasons of varsity football at Jones High School under head coach Elijah Williams.
During his senior year, he started at left tackle and led the Tigers to an 11-2 record and a trip to the 4A FHSAA State Semifinals against Port Charlotte on December 5th.
As a junior, Payne played left tackle for a team that advanced to the 4A state title game and went 14-1.
Also competed in wrestling and track and field.
