In the 247 Composite, he ranked the No. 282 player in the country, No. 21 interior offensive lineman and No. 17 player from North Carolina.
The On3 Consensus had him as the No. 319 player in the nation, No. 26 offensive tackle and No. 20 player from North Carolina.
247 Sports listed him as the No. 37 offensive tackle in the country and No. 33 player from North Carolina.
Rivals listed him as the No. 38 offensive tackle in the class and No. 19 player from North Carolina.

AT MURPHY HIGH SCHOOL

Played three seasons on varsity at Murphy High School under legendary coach David Gentry.
Murphy was a combined 33-5 in those three seasons while also compiling a 16-2 record in the Smoky Mountain Conference and winning two North Carolina state championships.
Murphy won the 1A North Carolina State Championship his sophomore season compiling a 13-1 record, winning the title game 60-27 over Pamlico County.
Murphy also won his senior year, playing in the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic when the team was 10-1 and won two playoff games over Robbinsville and Northside-Pinetown.
