2020-21 (Senior): Appeared in two games, playing in the final minute of the home wins over California (1/14) and Arizona State (3/4).
2019-20 (Junior): Appeared in two games, totaling three minutes. Saw two minutes of action against Iona (12/29) and entered for the final minute against Utah (1/12).
2018-19 (Sophomore): Played in six games, making his collegiate debut in the season-opener against Drake (11/13). Logged one rebound, on the defensive end against South Dakota (12/4). Joined the team as a walk-on in the spring of 2018. Had been enrolled at Colorado the previous two academic years. Although he did not play basketball for the Buffaloes during that time, he is very familiar with the program, serving as a student manager for the women’s basketball team for two seasons.
High School: A 2016 graduate of Loveland High School, he was a three-sport letter winner, competing in basketball, football and track & field. Lettered three times in basketball, playing center for Loveland. McQuade was named all-area and earned honorable mention to the all-conference team in football as a wide receiver and defensive back, helping Loveland finish second in Class 4A in 2015. Competed in long jump, high jump and triple jump in track and field.
Academics: Two-time member of the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll (2020, '21), he seeking his master's degree in Integrative Physiology. He finished his undergrad in three years, earning his bachelor's in Integrative Physiology in May 2019. He earned eight All-State Academic First Team honors in high school, three each for basketball and track and twice in football.
Personal: Born Aidan McQuade on Aug. 5, 1998 in Denver. He is the son of Paul and Mary McQuade. He has two younger sisters, Ava and Livia. He would like to work in emergency medicine after graduation. His favorite professional teams include the Denver Nuggets, Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. Enjoys basketball, music and spending time with friends and family. He worked as an intern for CU Athletics’ Marketing & Promotions department.
