2019-20 (Junior): Played in one game, entering in for the final two minutes against Iona (12/29). Grabbed a rebound and dished out his first career assist during that appearance.
2018-19 (Sophomore): Saw action in the closing minutes of six games, including the NIT second round win over Norfolk State (3/25). Grabbed four rebounds on the season, two of which came in the season-opener against Drake (11/13).
2017-18 (Freshman): Played in one game, making his collegiate debut in the final minute of the home win over Utah (2/2). Joined the program as a walk-on in August 2017, just in time to join the team for its tour of Italy.
High School: A 2017 graduate of Stanwood High School. He averaged 16 points, five rebounds and four assists as a senior at Stanwood High School earning Class 3A All-State honors from the Washington Coaches Association. Martinka scored 1,053 points for Stanwood, ranking has the fourth leading scorer in team history. He also holds team marks for games played (106) and games won (86). Helped Stanwood to four Wesco League titles, a district championship (2015)  and three state top seven finishes, highlighted by a fourth place showing in 2017. A three-time All-Wesco League performer he was Stanwood’s Male Athlete of the Year as a senior. Also played two seasons on the football team as a wide receiver with 10 career touchdown receptions.
Academics: A History major at Colorado. He was a four-year member of the academic honor roll in high school.
Personal: Born Anthony Martinka on Jan. 11, 1999 in Houston. The son of Reid and Leigh Martinka, he has one younger sister, Devon. He is interested in corporate health and wellness as a profession. Martinka once worked as a sales associate for Polo Ralph Lauren. He enjoys working out, watching Netflix and hanging out with friends and family. His favorite professional teams are the Seattle Seahawks and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
