College—2024-25 (Soph.): Appeared in 12 stroke tournaments, as a designated scorer in eight and as the alternate for the Big 12 Championship, owning the fifth-best stroke average of 71.69 on the team (70.33 for 15 rounds in the fall, which tied the fifth-best fall mark ever at CU – the second-best by a sophomore) ... Had 12 subpar rounds (nine in the 60’s) and six other rounds of even-par (18 of par or better out of 35 for the season); he ended the fall with six straight rounds of par or better, which he extended to eight to open the spring … He was “activated” for the final two rounds of the Big 12’s and recorded a pair of 72’s ... Recorded five top 25 finishes over the course of the season, placing in the top 17 in the last three fall events topped by a tie for 10th in CU’s Simpson Invitational (70-67-72—209, -7) ... Became the 16th player in school history to shoot in the 60’s in the same tournament when he tied for 14th in the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate (67-69-68—204, -9); it also tied the seventh-best 54-hole score on a par-71 course by a Buffalo. He had 15 birdies and 35 pars with just four holes worse than par (two bogeys, two doubles) ... He then opened the spring with the best effort of his career to date, finishing second in Wyoming’s Desert Intercollegiate (out of 90 competitors); he had a 68-70-67—205 (-11) scorecard where he had 17 birdies and 31 pars and only six bogeys (the 17 birdies were the second-most by a Buff in any event all year) ... His other top effort for the season came in New Mexico’s Tucker Intercollegiate where he tied for 17th (68-72-77—217, +1) ... Tied for 43rd in the NCAA Northwest Regional (222, +6) and tied for 87th in the NCAA Finals (72-77-76—225, +9) ... Had two nice runs of consecutive holes played of par or better, including 36 (the last three in first round, all 18 in second round, and the first 15 in third round in the Simpson); at the time it was the third-longest streak at CU (and is still fourth); he also had 27 in a row (the first 27 in Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate) ... Within those were his first two bogey-free rounds as a collegian ... For the year, he scored par or better on 511 out of 630 holes, or 81.1 percent of the time ... Had just 17 holes worse than bogey out of those 630 as well … In addition, he played in the Big 12 Match Play Championship, posting a 2-2 record (defeating Baylor’s Davis Ovard and Texas Tech’s Sean Keeling, both by 1-up scores.
2023-24 (Fr.): One of four finalists for CU’s Freshman Male Athlete of the Year ... Played in 11 tournaments overall, the last 10 as a designated scorer for the team as he was in action for 34 rounds overall (tied for the 13th-most by a CU frosh) … His 73.85 scoring average was eighth on the team (fifth by the regulars on the travel squad), and it ranked 11th among all Pac-12 freshmen … It was also the 12th-best freshman average for a season in school history … Helped lead CU to the team title in the Wyoming Desert Match Play; he won all three of his matches (4&3, 3 up, 4&2), recording 10 birdies, 34 pars and just two bogeys overall. He won 17 holes and tied 24 while losing only five (a win-tie percentage of 89%); he trailed for just one hole, and led or tied the last 44 he played (led the last 38) ... Best spring stroke play finish was a tie for 41st in the last Pac-12 Championship (302, +18); he was seventh out of the 15 freshmen competing. He after a 78-80—158 effort on day one, he came back with a pair of 1-over 72s, the 144 total the 10th-best over the final 36 holes … In the fall, he made some history out of the chute, so-to-speak, as he tied for sixth in his first collegiate tournament, the Maui Jim Individual in Scottsdale, Ariz.: he turned in a 10-under par 69-70-67—206 scorecard, both the best gross score and well as score in relation to par for a Buffalo playing in their first college event; the first round 69 was just the third score in the 60s for a first collegiate round in CU history, with his final round 67 tied the fourth-best single round within a first-ever college tournament as well … Had a run of 21 straight holes of par or better within the Maui Jim, second-best on the team on the season … His next best fall finish was a tie for 26th in CU’s Mark Simpson Invitational (71-74-71—216, E) … He avoided big numbers for the most part, with just 24 holes (out of 612) worse than bogey.
High School—As a senior, he claimed the CIF state championship at San Gabriel Country Club with a 5-under par 66 (shooting 33 on each nine) … The PGA’s National High School Golf Association ranked him No. 136 for year (No. 12 in the ’22-23 recruiting class).
Other—2025: Finished third in the Southwestern Amateur at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale (68-73-69-66—276, -12), tying the third-best performance by a Buff in the event … Tied for fourth in Local U.S. Open Qualifying (3-under 69), but shot 71-77—148 in final qualifier and did not advance … In the NCGA Amateur Qualifier at Pebble Beach’s Poppy Hills Course, he tied for 17th with a 71-73—144 (+1) effort; in match play, he won two matches before falling in the quarterfinals ...
