College?This Season (Fr.-RS): He saw action in two fall tournaments, logging identical 75-77?152 scorecards to place seventh in the Colorado State Individual and tie for 28th in the Colorado Mines-Regis Invitational.  CU did not enter full teams in either event so he competed as an individual.

 

2008-09 (Fr.): Redshirted; did not see any tournament competition but competed in all team practices.

 

High School?He was a first-team all-state (4A) performer his freshman, junior and senior years and a four-time all-Eastern Wyoming Athletic Conference selection at Cheyenne Central High School under coach Mike Lepore.  CCHS was the Wyoming state champion all four years he played.  He finished second in the state meet as a senior (76-78?154); his scoring average for his senior season was a healthy 70 when he won 12 of 14 high school events, including the conference championship.  He placed fifth in the state meet as a freshman (77-75?152), sixth as a junior (76-73?149) and 13th as a sophomore, the only time he finished out of the top 10 (76-77?153).   

 

Other?2008: He was the low amateur in the Wyoming Open (73-68-70?211), tying for 21st overall.  Qualified for the Colorado Open, tying for fourth with a 1-under 70 at Legacy Ridge GC; he missed the cut in the tournament.   2007: Played in the U.S. Junior Amateur at Boone Valley GC in Augusta, Mo. (79-78?157; tied for 112th but only 64 advanced to match play).  2006: He tied for ninth in the FCWT University of New Mexico Open (73-75?148) and placed in the top 40 in three other events.  2005: He was an FCWT Boys’ 13-15 All-American for the 2005-06 season, when he won The Ridge At Castle Pines Classic (74-70?144) and finished second in the Tucson Junior Classic (74-82-78?234).  He closed the 2004-05 season with a 56th place finish in the Boys’ National Championship at PGA National GC.

 

Best Career Round In Competition?63 (September 2006, Casper Invitational first round, Casper Municipal GC).

 

Academics?He is undecided on his major though is interested in Sociology; he is enrolled in CU’s School of Arts & Sciences.

 

Personal?Born March 2, 1990 in Cheyenne, Wyo.  A great grandmother played basketball at the University of Denver.  He enjoys doing community service, as evidenced by his past help with Cheyenne’s Junior Golf Program.
