College—2023-24 (Soph.): Saw action in five tournaments (three fall, two spring), all scoring as an individual ... Had two solid efforts in the spring including his best collegiate finish, second in the Battle at the Dance (Windsor, Colo.) with a 71-70—141 (-3) scorecard … Tied for 16th in the Southern Colorado Masters (70-76-76—221, +8; tournament was played in serious wind gusts over two days that peaked at 55 miles per hour) … Best fall performance was a 2-over 218 (75-72-71) in CU’s Mark Simpson Invitational that tied him for 35th … He scored a collegiate-high 11 birdies in the Simpson and 10 in the Battle at the Dance … Spring average of 72.40 was third-best on the team, albeit for  just five rounds … After the season, decided to enter the transfer portal looking to enroll at a school in his native California.
 
2022-23 (Fr.): After taking what is now becoming commonplace, a “gap” year, he enrolled at CU for the fall semester … He saw action in three tournaments, all in the fall and as an individual, with his best finish a tie for 13th in his first collegiate meet, Air Force’s Miranda Individual (70-74-73—217, +1) … The first round 2-under 70 was his low score for the fall; it tied for the third-lowest first collegiate round in CU history (the second-lowest in relation to par) … Sported a 73.67 average for nine rounds; of his 162 holes played, just six were worse than bogey (tied for the team-lead in eagles for the fall with three).
 
High School—A four-year varsity letterman at Mater Dei … Owned a 34.8 stroke average for 9-hole matches as a senior, when he was a first-team All-Trinity League performer for the second time (also as a sophomore) … As a senior, he helped his team to Trinity League title in 2021 and the CIF Division 1 team championship … Was the “Monarch of the Year” for Mater Dei Boy’s Golf for 2021 …  Junior season was cancelled due to COVID … Mater Dei was the Palmetto Cup Team Champion (Myrtle Beach, SC) his sophomore year, when selected as the team’s Most Outstanding Golfer for 2019.
 
Other—2024: Tied for 19th in the Sacramento Memorial Amateur (68-77-70—215, -1) … Medalist in the Sacramento Memorial Amateur (66-68-69—203, -13) … Tied for 15th in the Saguaro Amateur (75-72-66—213, -3); his 66 was the third-best score of the final round.  
2023: Runner-up in the Long Beach City Championship (69-69-70—208, -8); two off the lead … Tied for third in the San Diego City Amateur (71-70—141, -3); one back of the lead … Placed seventh in the Southern California Golf Association Amatuer (72-69-78-78—277, -11) … Tied for third with teammate Hunter Swanson in the Sizzler Amateur (69-64-69—202, -8) … Tied for 14th in U.S. Amateur Qualifying in Mission Viejo, Calif. (72-77—149, +7).  
2022: Tied for 29th in the Silverado Amateur (225, +9); second round 70 tied for seventh low score.  
2021: Finished seventh overall and as the second low amateur in the Northern California Open at Coyote Creek Golf Club (71-71-69—211, -5) … He was the medalist – and only player under par – in the U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifying at Mission Viejo (Calif.) Country Club (70-69—139, -3); he turned a very steady two rounds with seven birdies, and 26 pars in winning by three strokes.  He missed the cut in the U.S. Amateur, as he opened with an 83 that left him well behind the projected cut, but he did rally to shoot a 1-over 71 in the second round … Placed second in the Agave Amateur (68-66-71—205, -8) at Shadow Hills Golf Club (Indio, Calif.) … Tied for ninth in the Desert Amateur at Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz. (3-under 213). 
2019: As a 16-year old in the U.S. Open Local Qualifier at Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine, Calif., he ran away from the field in setting a course record 9-under par 61, a mark that still stands; in winning by six strokes, he hit all 14 fairways on his way to scoring an eagle and nine birdies on the par-70 track; he had a 29 when he made the turn … Claimed the PGA Section Toyota Cup Championship at Industry (Calif.) Hills, winning by six shots after carding a 70-62—142 (10-under) performance; the 62 was the new low round for the event. 
 
Best Career Round In Competition—61 (-9, May 9, 2019, U.S. Open Qualifier at Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine, Calif.)
Academics—He majored in Sociology in his two years at Colorado.
Personal—He was born July 23, 2002 in Newport Beach, Calif. … He graduated high school in May 2021 but took the year off before enrolling in college, which is now termed a “gap year.”  (His last name is pronounced “kelch” … the i is silent.)
