2025 (Junior)—Baangman was the portal get of the offseason, coming to Colorado after two years at Montana State, joining the program her sister starred at late last decade. While battling injuries a majority of the season, you couldn’t tell from her results other than her two DNFs early in the season. She finished fourth in the two races she did finish in Alaska and then went on a run of four straight runner-up finishes for both the Montana State and Denver Invitationals spanning late January and early February. After sitting out the UAF Invitational, she skied in both races at the RMISA Championships while in Alaska and picked up her fifth straight second place finish in the 7.5K classic race before taking ninth in the freestyle race. She then nearly reversed those results at the NCAA Championships, taking 10th in the classic race and third in the freestyle race, earning two All-America honors including one first-team nod. She was also named first-team All-RMISA, won the CUSPY for Female Newcomer of the Year while being a finalist for the Female Athlete of the Year, was given the team’s Outstanding Nordic Woman Award, and was named CU Athlete of the Week multiple times and named the Skier of the Meet upon her return to MSU. She also got it done in the classroom, being named to the National All-Academic Ski Team and to the CSC Academic All-District team.
At Montana State (2023-24)—She spent two seasons at Montana State and was one of the top skiers in college, completing 24 of 25 races in those two years with 22 in the top 10 and 13 in the top 5 including 11 podium appearances and four race wins. She had one of the best seasons in NCAA history in 2024 when she placed in the top 7 in every race and hit the podium nine times in 13 races with four wins. She had a stretch of three invitationals, the Colorado, Denver and RMISA Championships in 2024 in which she had six straight podium appearances and three race wins with two runner-up finishes in those six races.
