Prior to CU–Brownlie competed with the Whistler Mountain Ski Club for six years and was a member of the BC Ski Team for three years. She raced extensively across Canada and internationally at the FIS level, developing into one of British Columbia’s top junior athletes. She has close to 50 Nor-Am Cup starts and finished the 2025 season ranked 31st overall with 175 points. Since 2022 she has earned 30 FIS podiums, including 19 during the 2025 season alone, highlighted by 13 race victories with six wins each in giant slalom and slalom. She came to CU with 24.21 FIS points in slalom and 29.03 in giant slalom, and she has also competed at the Canadian National Championships.

High School—She graduated from Whistler Secondary School in Whistler, BC, Canada, in 2023.

In the Classroom—She is interested in majoring in Chemical Engineering at Colorado. She is interested because she likes math and science and is interested in going into the sustainability field. She was on the honor roll all years of high school, as well as earning the grade 12 chemistry and calculus awards.

Personal—Full name is Alexa Irene Brownlie. Her birthday is March 11 and she was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her parents are Liz and Dave Brownlie. Her dad was the captain of the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds and her mom was on the Trent University rowing team. She has one brother Ben and one sister Liz. Her hobbies include running, biking, and reading. Also competed in soccer and volleyball, earning MVP in her soccer club.
