2003?Rygg skied in all but one meet and three races during her redshirt freshman season as the Buffs’ competed for a second straight season with just four women’s nordic skiers. Despite being unable to crack a top-20 finish, she scored in five races, including her first four.  Her best combined weekend of the season was a season best 24th place freestyle finish and 26th in classical at the CU Invitational.

2002?Redshirt. Did not compete.  During the summer she spent some time in Norway glacier skiing.

High School?Rygg was a three-year letterwinner in cross country (running) and finished a career-best fifth at the Arizona State Championships, earning all-state accolades.  She also lettered for three seasons in the two-mile run in track and was a four-year letterwinner, and three-time all-state performer, in Nordic (5/10k) finishing first and third, respectively at the state championships as a senior in 2000. That same year she earned All-American honors. Rygg spent her summer splitting time between Norway and Arizona.

Other?Rygg skied for seven years for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club where she finished 10th at Nationals and second as a member of a relay team.

Academics?Rygg is an integrated physiology major at Colorado.  After graduating from Lowell Whiteman in 2000, she took a year off from school before enrolling at CU, spending the time in Norway skiing and learning the language.
