At Colorado: 2025 (Freshman)—Juntunen finished all 12 races he competed in, recording 4 top-10s and finishing out side the top 15 just one time. In classic races, he finished 12-13-15-12-6-8. In freestyle races, 12-14-23-9-10-13. He had his best stretch near the end of the season as all four top 10s came in consecutive races, first the final race of the DU Invitational where he took ninth place. Then in Alaska for the UAF Invitational and RMISA Championships, he took sixth in the classic sprints race, 10th in the 10K freestyle race and then eighth in the 7.5K classic race, the first two as part of the UAF Invitational and the last one in the RMISA Championship meet.

Prior to CU—Skied for Pohti SkiTeam Pyhajarvi out of Finland. He participated in the 2022 World Junior Championships and took 24th place in the freestyle sprint race. He took part in the Finnish National Championships from 2021-24 and took ninth place in 2024 in the freestyle sprint qualifier in Hakunila and took 21st overall in the freestyle sprint race. A participant at the Finnish Junior National Championships from 2019-24, he had several top performances including 10 top 10 finishes, five of which were podiums including a second place in back-to-back freestyle sprint races in 2024 at Leppavaara and 2023 in Pyhajarvia and Honkavouri. He was also third in the classic sprint in 2022 in Keuruu. He had eight starts on the Scandinavian Cup from 2023-24. In all he had six podiums in FIS races, the five from Finnish Juniors and one in a FIS race in 2024 at Kauppi wher ehe took second in the freestyle sprint qualifier.
