This Season ? “Jenny will be joining the team in the spring semester and has been a solid performer in past college races.  Jenny's maturity and experience will bring added depth to an already strong team.”

 

At Middlebury ? Hamilton comes to Colorado from Middlebury College where she served as team captain and participated in the 2006 and 2007 NCAA Championships.

 

High School ? Hamilton was the team captain and a junior and senior for her Aspen high school Nordic ski team.  She earned All-State honors as a sophomore and junior and was a high school All-American in her sophomore campaign.  Hamilton led her team to the 2002 and 2003 high school State Championships and was the individual champion in 2002.  An already accomplished skier, Hamilton was also a letterwinner on the cross-country team and the team captain as a senior, pacing her team to the 2002 cross-country Girls 3A State Championships.

 

Other ? Hamilton was a member of the 2003 J1 Scandinavian Cup Team.

 

In the Classroom ? A three-time All-Academic performer in high school, Hamilton will pursue an environmental science major and she is also interested in Spanish.

 

Personal ? Virginia Ruth Hamilton was born December 6, 1985, and is the daughter of Al Beyer and Ruthie Brown.  Her younger brother, Simeon (20), is a junior at Middlebury College and is the captain of the ski team.  Her hobbies include biking, kayaking, climbing and traveling.  Hamilton returns home to the Rocky Mountains because there is “no place like home.”
