High School?Mossoni was a 10-time letterwinner in golf (4), softball (outfield, 3), and pom (3) at Broomfield.  The Eagles were three-time Skyline League Champions in both Golf and Softball while her 2001 pom squad were the CHSAA Spirit State champions and runner-up in 1999.  In golf Mossoni was a second team All-Skyline performer as a sophomore, first team as a junior and senior.  In softball she was honorable mention all-conference as a sophomore, first team as a junior and senior and named to Boulder County’s second team as a junior.

 

Academics? A political science major, Mossoni owns a Dean’s List 3.503 cumulative grade point average.  Her career goal is to become a Judge Advocate General for the United States Marine Corps.  In high school she was published in the Broomfield Young Authors Book, received the 1999-00 Language Arts Outstanding Achievement Award, the 2000 National History Award and the 2002 Outstanding Public Speaker. She was a four-time All-Skyline Conference Academic Selection. 

 

Personal? Joleen Jaye Mossoni was born Dec. 7, 1983 in Boulder.  Her parents are Mark and Jodi, the administrative assistant for the Colorado ski team, of Broomfield.  Her older brother Kory is a 2003 CU grad with a chemical engineering degree and was a four-year letterman on the Buffs’ football team, playing inside linebacker on the 1999-02 teams.  She was a member of the Marine Platoon Leaders Class and lists playing golf, reading and watching the news as her hobbies.
