At Utah (2024-25)–Schamberger spent two seasons at the University of Utah before transferring to Colorado. As a freshman in 2024, she had seven collegiate starts with four top-10 finishes, highlighted by a sixth-place finish in the Westminster 10K classic (which doubled as a U.S. Nationals junior podium) and a 19th-place finish in the 7.5K freestyle at the NCAA Championships. In 2025, she started seven races with three top-10 finishes, including fourth in the Montana State 20K freestyle, seventh in the Alaska Anchorage 10K freestyle, and eighth in the Utah Invitational 15K freestyle.

Prior to College–Schamberger trained with the Summit Nordic Ski Club in Colorado. She won a junior 10K freestyle pursuit in Falcade, Italy, during the 2023 season and finished in the top nine at the 2023 U.S. National Championships (10K freestyle). She represented the U.S. at the 2022 Junior World Championships in Norway, racing in three events and helping the relay team to a fifth-place finish. She also competed at U.S. Junior Nationals beginning in 2019. She comes to CU with 125.05 FIS distance points.

High School—She graduated from The Peak school in Frisco, Colorado, in 2023.    
 
In the Classroom—She is interested in majoring in Political Science at Colorado. She is interested in learning about politics and hopes to go to law school someday. She was on the honor roll at Utah.
 
Personal—Full name is Nina Lee Schamberger.  Her birthday is May 18, and she was born in Leadville, Colorado. Her parents are Michelle and Lance Schamberger. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, and biking. Before she was a skier, she competed in gymnastics and has competed in mountain bike races.  She enjoys spending time outside and can speak Spanish.
