Two-Time Letterwinner (2024, '25)

At Colorado: Career—Jones has competed in 15 races as a Buff and finished all 15 with 10 in the top 20 and two in the top 10 which includes one podium performance, which came in his third career race in a sprint race that was scored from the US National Championships.

2025 (Sophomore)—Jones took his college results to another level in 2025 when he finished all nine races he competed in with seven in the top 20 and he picked up his second career top 10 finish. He opened up the season with a solid performance at the UAA Invitational, which had results pulled from the US National Championships. He took 18th in the freestyle and 17th in the classic race there. He was then at his best late in the season when he had four top 20s to close out the season in Alaska at the UAF Invitational and RMISA Championships. He took 10th in the classic sprint race, 16th in the 10K freestyle race in Fairbanks while then taking 19th in the 7.5K Classic and 20th in the 20K freestyle race in Anchorage at the RMISA championships.

2024 (Freshman)—Jones had a solid freshman season that saw him pick up a podium appearance in his second career race, the freestyle sprint race at the Westminster Invitational with results pulled from the US National Championships. He had one other top 20, taking 13th in the classic sprint race three days later, which was an RMISA Qualifier race. He missed the CU and DU meets while competing at the Junior World Championships in Slovenia. He returned for the RMISA Championships to close out a solid freshman season.

Prior To CU—Jones has skied in FIS-sanctioned races and skied competitively in FIS races for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club starting in 2019. He had some impressive races on the RMISA circuit as an independent skier in 2023, finishing 10th and 13th in the two races on his home hill as part of CU’s Spencer James Nelson Memorial Invitational. In March 2023, he had an impressive performance at the junior level in Fairbanks, Alaska, winning 7.5K classic race and the 15K classic race while finishing third in the classic sprint qualifier race. At the 2023 US National Championships, he finished 18th in the freestyle sprint race.
