Freshman (2007): DeJesus started all 22 games at forward as a freshman, scoring two goals and adding four assists and 27 shot attempts in 1,710 minutes. Her two goals came in back-to-back games early in the season, netting the tying goal in the 51st minute of a 1-1 draw with Fairfield on Sept. 2, and scoring the first goal of a 4-2 win over Utah just 52 seconds into the match on Sept. 6. That goal at 0:52 against Utah was the earliest goal in CU history to start a game. DeJesus had two assists in a 4-2 win over Nebraska, and two more in a first-round win over Hawai'i on Nov. 16 at the NCAA Tournament.
High School: DeJesus is a three year letterwinner at Dublin High School for coach Ron Krumbach. She was named First Team All-DFAL League as a sophomore, as well as the most valuable offensive player and a scholar athlete. Her freshman year she scored 16 goals en route to Second Team All-DFAL League honors and offensive MVP selection. Her club team, the Mustang Blast coached by Pat Uriz, won the U15 USYSA National Championship and was U17 USYSA National Finalists in 2006. The Blast also won the U14 Super Y League Championship in 2003.

In the Classroom: DeJesus is undecided on her major at Colorado, but is interested in education and sociology.

Personal: Michaela Elleese DeJesus was born April 12, 1989 in San Francisco, Calif. She is the daughter of Mike and Karen DeJesus, and has one older brother, Matt (19), who is a collegiate baseball player. Her hobbies include snowboarding, boating and horseback riding, and she also enjoys listening to country music and dirt biking.
